It's no secret that I've wanted to build a community for a while now, starting with the creation of a TeamSpeak server open to the public. Now I've decided to go all in on the project, with the main reason for this being that I want to build it up on something different than my own name and "brand". I don't want this community to be centered around myself but around the people apart of it.

Obviously, with it being a clan, the main part is to band together a group of people who like to hang out and play games together. But the vision of the clan is to include a much larger amount of people, bidding everyone (18+) welcome to the community.

In a way, when...

Alright, so I've been messing around a lot lately with my stream settings, not quite understanding why my stream has been of such ruddy quality lately. I have a fairly decent - if not above average - hardware setup, and great bandwidth, so I felt like my stream quality should be pretty good, but it remained laggy and overall poor, unwatchable actually.

Long story short, it turned out that a service on my PC (MSI ActiveX Service, no less!) was hogging about 50% CPU which, besides the games' ressource usage in itself, left very little for stream encoding. But having disabled that, after confirming that it wouldn't cause issues with a bit of online research, I tested again...

Oh wow. More than 6 months of absence from posting on my own damn blog!? That's embarrassing, quite frankly.

But, truth be told, there hasn't been all that much to tell. Work has been keeping me crazy busy, but recently I've once again found time to be gaming. Not a lot, as of yet, but I try to put in time on both YouTube and Twitch, mainly the latter. I do however feel that I need some new games to be playing on there. Also lost a bit of momentum on YouTube after I realized, that I probably won't be able to obtain the games needed to fulfill the series (the old Harry Potter games).

That being said, I've opened up a channel of communication with everyone...

YouTube negligence

Hello all. I just realized that I've actually been neglecting my YouTube videos a bit lately.. I am sorry about this.

I'd like to try and explain this, as it has actually been a somewhat deliberate - if subconscious - decision on my part. I have been hanging out on TeamSpeak for a while now, making new friends and playing lots of games online. Also I've focused quite a lot on making a new forum layout for the Zero Fucks clan (known mainly for the YouTube videos of one SovietWomble), and I'm quite happy with the result! You can check it out HERE.

While you as a YouTube viewer don't really get to enjoy that directly, you actually might in the future, as I feel...

New microphone (and Italobrothers)

Today I just wanted to share a bit of news that I'm very excited about! A few days ago, I got a new microphone, the omnipresent Blue Yeti that is basically (from what I understand) the single most used microphone among YouTube and Twitch gamers. Having tried it out, I can absolutely understand why. The sound quality is simply amazing, especially compared to what I was coming from - which I actually thought was pretty decent! So now it's even more fun for me to do videos when I watch them back afterwards. I hope you'll appreciate this major increase in microphone sound quality as much as I do!

On that note, I started playing The Talos Principle today, and it really seems...

I know I've been a bit absent on the blogging part, but not that much has happened really. I've kept recording and uploading my Monkey Island videos, because I am quite dedicated to that, and I even uploaded 2 videos today - the final episode of Monkey Island 2 and the first episode of Monkey Island 3 (Curse of Monkey Island).

Anyway, so I finally received my new hardware and I've gotten it all setup and properly installed. It's awesome! First thing I did was test it out on Watch Dogs which I haven't been able to play before due to earlier mentioned lack of DX11 compatibility. Runs great even on highest settings, I love that.

So there's not much to say in...

New hardware incoming

So this is actually going to be a pretty short post, but I pretty much just wanna share it with you all!

I've gotten a pretty decent bonus at work, and I decided to spend some of it on treating myself to some new hardware for my gaming PC:

I've bought myself a new graphics card (ASUS GeForce GTX 1070 O8G-DUAL) and a new monitor that'll support HDMI. This means that I can get rid of the old and horrible monitor I'm currently using as a secondary, switching that out with the one that is currently my primary monitor, and then use the new one as primary. It's going to be great, I'm really looking forward to that. At some point I'll probably want to...

Hey everyone, I am back home, and of course that warranted a bit of celebration by getting a new Let's Play video online! Part 3 of my Let's Play The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition is now available on YouTube right here. Before making this video, I went ahead and moved my microphone around a bit, so the sound quality should have improved quite a bit - well, as much as one can expect of an older, not-so-high-end microphone. At least I can tell there's a difference, and I hope my viewers can too!

This isn't actually gonna be a long post, but there is one thing I'd like to mention, that I am quite excited about:

At work I will likely be tasked with...

So my dad and his new wife went on a well-earned vacation, and I've been asked to watch their two dogs. This means that I'm away from home since yesterday, Thursday, and until Tuesday next week. What this also means is that I am away from my gaming computer, and as a direct result, I cannot record any new gaming videos. So my YouTube channel is going to be a bit quiet until at least Tuesday, maybe even Wednesday, but I will definitely return and post more videos from my playthrough of The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition!

On another note, while I'm at my dad's place, I'm basically binge watching YouTube videos of a guy that I have started to see as kind...

First video is on YouTube!

I know I initially said that I would be livestreaming my playthrough of the Monkey Island series. I even did stream it on Twitch for the first 30 odd minutes.

But then I realized, that I would actually rather have this video be a more dedicated recording, focusing solely on the gameplay itself, rather on having to focus on potential viewers saying hello (which I actually like a lot, just not when doing this), so I went ahead and started over from scratch and it resulted in my very first video now being online and publically available on YouTube!

It's a good 36 minutes video of me starting with the game The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition, and I actually think that I...

I've been spending the last couple of days expanding my online presence, meaning that I got a Facebook page running (actually I deleted an old page and created a brand new page), revamping my Twitter profile a bit, and I even created a YouTube page for myself too. I will share the link to that once I actually get some content on it.

Speaking of content, I have also spent time on setting up OBS Studio (OBS meaning "Open Broadcaster Software") rather than XSplit which I used for streaming at the beginning. I have a couple of reasons for making this switch, and they actually make a lot of sense to me. First off, OBS is much lighter on the CPU usage, leaving more CPU to the...
